About the Role
As an Event Helper, you handle the hands-on work that keeps events on schedule. You’ll unload trucks, place gear, set rooms, and reset spaces. The pace is steady, the tasks vary, and teamwork matters.
Main Tasks
- Load in and load out equipment, décor, and supplies.
- Move boxes, crates, and cases with safe lifting.
- Build basic setups: tables, pipe and drape, signage, stanchions.
- Keep aisles clear and storage areas tidy.
- Assist AV and vendor teams as directed.
- Flip rooms quickly between sessions.
- Follow the schedule, check in with your lead, and log wrap-up notes.
Who We’re Looking For
- Reliable, on time, and ready to work.
- Follows directions and asks clear questions.
- Able to lift 40–50 lbs safely and stand for long periods.
- Stays alert around guests, gear, and loading zones.
- Keeps a clean, professional look (black attire often required).
- Has steady transportation in Austin.
- Open to nights, weekends, and holiday shifts.
